Viewing Art
Do you have a favorite artist, piece of art, art medium, art time period? When was the last time you sought out art? The benefits of viewing art reach beyond being “cultured” or understanding the artist’s message. We have stress reduction when we view art. Not only in person, but recent studies (read more about these studies here), have shown that the benefits of art can be accessed through digital mediums, as well.
I want to encourage you to seek out some art that you have been drawn to in the past or find something new, even if it’s virtual. When you do this, notice how you feel about the art and how you feel in your body.
If you don’t know where to start, you can look up art museums and/or galleries in your area and see if there is anything you’re interested in seeing in-person or if the museums/galleries have any virtual events. I also found this list of 10 of the World’s Best Virtual Museum and Art Gallery Tours.
