Summer Solstice
Tomorrow is the longest day of the year - summer solstice. As I think about summer and daylight, I find myself thinking about energy. It seems like so many of us are doing more and I wanted to take this time to invite you to reflect on where your energy is at. It has been a hard couple of years and as eager as we may be to be getting back into our old routines, it is normal to find that it is harder to do this.
Some points of reflection I would like to invite you to consider:
What brings me energy?
What takes away my energy?
Who, what, or where lights me up the most?
What activities do I want to prioritize during summer?
How can you create balance in your life this summer to bring in the warmth and light you need?
This is definitely not the case for everyone, but for people reading this in the PNW, I wanted to remind you to spend some time in the sun this week! Even if it’s just sitting outside or taking a quick stroll. We’ve had a lot of cloudiness and it really takes a toll on our mental health!
As always, take what is helpful and leave the rest. I hope you have the week you need.
